Tapping and Tarot
Did you miss out on the Tapping session last week? Not to worry! We’re going to do it again! Stay tuned for a repeat performance with the charming Heidi Behr. Thanks to everyone who joined this month’s Creative Momentum Session!
What a great session we had here at LifeArt Studio last Thursday evening with therapist Heidi Behr and a fascinating group of people seeking ways to ignite, focus, and enhance their creative process or their artful living.
Heidi taught us about Tapping, also called Emotional Freedom Technique, a form of energetic psychology involving gentle tapping on key meridian points of the face and hands. It has been used to alleviate stress, trauma, fear, phobia, and a range of emotional disruptions. As we learned about Tapping and practiced it ourselves, we discussed how the technique can also be used to strengthen our confidence and disable obstacles around projects we seem to have trouble starting, sustaining, or finishing.
Sometimes the obstacles that keep us from our best work are deeply entrenched beliefs we hold, almost at the tacit level. We walk around having drawn conclusions about our capacities and our potentialities that are based on limiting circumstances from long ago. And yet, at a subconscious level, we hang on to the habits of mind that keep us locked down and fearful and convinced that taking a bold new step on our own behalf is not possible. Heidi shared several moving stories of people who were able to drop destructive beliefs and walk away from old stories in a relatively short period of time through Tapping.
Want to try Tapping for yourself?

If you know Jamie, you know this is going to be a fascinating session, a little off the grid, for sure, and really fun. If you don’t know her, you owe it to yourself to come and find out how skilled she is at leading you to a creative insight.
This Creative Momentum Gathering will take place on Thursday, October 23, and it is almost filled as I write this. So if you’re at all curious, reserve your space here, and join us for a provocative evening of conversation and inspired writing.
